8U & 10U Spring Select Team Tryouts

Program Details: The Spring Select Program is an extension of our USA Softball Peninsula League but provides a more competitive playing option for players seeking a higher level of competition during the season. 

Players must desire higher competition, be able to commit to Sunday practices/scrimmages, and understand that playing time is earned. Demonstrating strong work ethic, teamwork, and positive attitude is essential.

Eligibility: To be eligible for Spring Select, players must be currently enrolled in our USA Softball Spring Peninsula League. The USA Softball Spring League will take precedence over Spring Select. Once Spring League starts on March 1st, Select practices and scrimmages can only take place on Sundays. 

Registration & Tryouts: This tryout registration form is due on Friday, February 6th at 6:00PM PT. Players must pre-register before the tryout date. 

Tryout Schedule: Sunday, Feb 8th: at Sea Cloud Park, Field B4

8U: 11:00am-11:25 - Pitchers & Catchers 11:30-12:30pm - All Players

10U: 9:00am-9:25am - Pitchers & Catchers; 9:30-10:45am - All Players

2026 Spring Select Coach Interest Form

We're seeking experienced and enthusiastic coaches to lead our Select teams, with availability to dedicate Sundays for practices and scrimmages. 

  • Coaching on a Select team requires commitment on Sundays.
  • Coaches will need to schedule games with other select teams in the Peninsula.   
  • Select Teams are expected to practice and/or play scrimmages on Sundays during the Spring Season.
  • Coaches will be required to complete the ACE training certification along with pass a background check prior to the start of the season.
  • Coaches must attend tryouts and participate in the formation of teams. Please see below for anticipated dates and times.

We are excited to announce that you can now order player photos using the QR code or this link.

Each FCYSA player will receive a complimentary individual and team photo. When ordering, please scroll all the way down and select “Image Mate (Complimentary)”

Don’t forget to print your receipt and bring it with you on photo day.

In addition, coaches will receive a free buddy photo with their player.

Please ensure that all teams arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled photo time. Players are welcome to bring a glove or bat to share, or they can bring their own. Upon check-in, a voucher for a 5×7 coach/player photo will be distributed. Photo Schedule TBA.

$5 of each ticket purchased through our special link will be donated back to FCYSA to help contribute to future clinics and equipment.

Players ages 11 and under will also have the opportunity to take a postgame group photo, subject to a minimum number of tickets being sold via our unique link.
